About the Company
UPMC Horizon is a full-service, academic community hospital with campuses in Greenville and the Shenango Valley. Our satellite locations include the UPMC Outpatient Center and UPMC Specialty Care in Hermitage, diagnostic and imaging centers in New Wilmington and Mercer, and affiliated physician offices throughout Mercer and Lawrence counties. About the Role
Students will be assigned to either the clerical, emergency, or transport departments. Clerical volunteers will be responsible for filing, organizing, and working on various projects throughout the hospital. There are various departments throughout the hospital that always need clerical help. Emergency Department
Assist the staff by providing comfort measures for patients. Cleaning and sanitizing equipment, stocking supplies and other various tasks. Greeter/Transport
Volunteers greet and help visitors and families find their way throughout the hospital.
Requirements
Must be 15 years of age or older
Commitment of 3-4 hours a month
Attend orientation where a volunteer coordinator will match your interests and schedule with the hospital's needs
Submit required paperwork provided by Volunteer Coordinator
Have a valid Social Security Number
